Jon has worked in the construction industry for over 45 years. Became vice president of Meco-Henne Contracting in 1985. Took over as president and CEO of Meco-Henne Contracting in 2019 and is joined by his partner and son Jon Henne Jr. as vice president. Jon has been a hands-on owner and participates in overseeing numerous commercial projects for all types of construction. He has directed Meco-Henne Contracting to be a unique versatile General Contractor with the ability to do all types of construction.
Jon works closely with the owners and the construction partners for each project. His leadership and direction have led to the success of hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial construction projects. Jon can provide valuable insight to the details and design criteria of all major types of construction to eliminate unnecessary costs and delays to any project.
Jon’s core values consist of honest partnering with clients and always using every job as an opportunity to create a partner for the future. His passion for the construction industry has kept him always building relationships with employees, trade partners, and owners to provide a “client focused results driven” business.
Jon enjoys most outdoor activities, especially golf. He has been married for 41 years to Lynette and has 4 children and 4 grandsons. His family is always involved in his activities, and he considers Meco-Henne Contracting and his long term employees family also.
Jon Jr. completed a double major in business management and marketing while playing baseball for the Bearcats.
Jon Jr. started working for Meco-Henne during his high school years and started full time as a field superintendent in 2010. He moved up quickly and became responsible for several projects up to 10 million. In 2014, he moved into the office as a project manager and estimator on all projects. In 2019, Jon became Vice President and co-owner of Meco-Henne
Jon Jr. combines his field knowledge and management skills to oversee much of the company’s day to day operations. As a project executive, he supports project managers and superintendents in their daily tasks. Jon also serves as the lead estimator for Meco-Henne Contracting.
Jon and his wife Rachel have been married for almost 10 years and have 2 young boys who keep him very busy outside of work.
Jake started working for Meco-Henne during his high school years and started full time as a field superintendent in 2018. The past twelve years Jake has gained experience and knowledge overseeing jobsites, with his natural leadership ability and ability to execute complex designs. In 2020, Jake became part owner of Meco-Henne.
While on and off the job, Jake’s core values consist of honest partnership with sub-contractors, his co-workers and vendors. Jake is an advocate for safety, a priority on every project. He holds himself accountable to provide a quality build for the customer and the company.
Nick has over ten years of experience in the construction industry. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a minor in business administration. Nick has demonstrated an ability to manage a large self-performing labor work force efficiently, and coordinate subcontractors to meet or exceed project schedules.
Nick has managed large renovation and new construction projects for Meco-Henne. His leadership and direction have led to numerous projects being completed on-time or ahead of schedule, all while staying on budget and focusing on jobsite safety. Nick provides valuable insight and coordination between all trades on the jobsite and all parties of interest with the owner.
Nick’s core values include integrity, honestly, fairness, accountability, promise to customers, quality, and teamwork. His passion for construction and providing a quality finished product on-time leads to successful construction projects. Nick is very dedicated to all his projects and will provide years of expertise and management to the project’s field activities.
Nick enjoys most outdoor activities, especially time on a lake, and spending time with family. He is married to Brenna Jones and has one daughter, Emma Jones.
Jim joined Meco-Henne in 1989 with experience in construction and structural engineering courses from UNO. After a few months in the field, Meco-Henne saw his potential and Jim joined the office staff. He has been responsible for automation and implementation of Meco-Henne’s estimating, project scheduling, and accounting software.
Jim’s valuable knowledge of the company’s operations and accounting skills has led to him becoming the company’s CFO. Jim’s in-depth knowledge with all aspects of Meco-Henne gives him the flexibility to provide support to the entire team and the experience to manage major projects. He has overseen the financial growth of the company and is responsible for accounting of up to $40 million a year in revenue.
Jim has developed methods to deliver precise layout and details for Meco-Henne’s site superintendents when coordination of complicated systems is critical.
Jim’s core values focus around being detail oriented. Good communication leads to great results. Small errors can add up.
Jim enjoys traveling with his family. He married a few months after graduating from high school. He has seven children and over a dozen grandchildren.
Theresa has 20+ years of accounting experience.
10 years as a bookkeeper for Construction General Contracting.
Theresa is a native of Omaha Nebraska
She is a big fan of Husker & Bronco football.
She likes to read and play poker.
Ilanna has 10 years of experience in the construction industry which includes residential, commercial, and industrial. Her journey originally developed from a personal experience when she suffered a total loss of her home and belongings due to an apartment fire in 2010. The silver lining of this experience was the introduction to the emergency reconstruction field. Ilanna learned to develop relationships in some tough and critical times. She brings a unique project management background to the Meco-Henne team and is eager to learn, grow, and continue her journey.
Ilanna was born in New York and has lived in six states due to a family with military background. She has 10 siblings (5 sisters and 5 brothers) and one brilliant daughter, Peyton. A typical day off for her involves cooking brunch with her “mini me”, a gym session, and thrifting.
